Stronger.
The success of our lives and future depend on our motivation and determination or self confidence. Through difficult experiences, life sometimes becomes more meaningful. If you look at people who, from the begining of their lives, have had everything, you may see that when small things happen they soon lose hope and grow irritated. Others have developed a stronger mental attitude as a result of their hardships.
I think a person who has had more experience of hardships can stand more firmly in the face of problems than the person who has never experienced suffering. from this angle then, some suffering can be a good lesson for life.

I smiled, we are lucky to have life - we're lucky sometimes to live it so richly and deeply. We are stronger.

I don't know why but it made me think 'to have courage'.
Me and the Dalai Lama have been arguing about detachment but I think he has won - another post, another day. I might not share his religion but his sense of place, reason, and his heart I like very much. He's not easy to argue with!
