Thanks Equus! There's no rule that I'm aware of that would prevent folks in the UK from having Turkey for dinner with all the family...
So what's on the menu for tonight at your place?

Thanks Equus. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because there's no glitz involed. It's just a day to gather with the people you love and enjoy a fabulous meal. My sister is doing the cooking, so I don't know what's on the menu yet.

no cooking for me this year either - "what's a codie to do?" "why relax and let your recovery show and allow someone else to "fix" everything!"

happy day all!

I agree with FDM, Thanksgiving is the very best holiday. No stress, like we have over Christmas.
Hope they forgive me, but I turn Jewish or Jehovah Witness or Seventh Day Adventist, prior to December every year.
That way no giving or receiving gifts we don't want, don't need, don't fit, horrible color etc. etc.

I am in this honest program, but isn't it OK to lie to protect ones sanity and sobriety??

Thank You Equus for remembering us here in the USA.
Do you have special Holidays over there?? Then we could send you Greetings.
Be fun to know. HUGS TO BOTH YOU AND D , and BEST FOR YOU BOTH ALWAYS.

I don't think so - nothing like thanksgiving anyway - you can send oiccassional random greetings if you want though.

I was dead chuffed reading this - I can sense the holiday excitement!!

Have you ever pulled up www.msn.americangreetings.com and checked out the greeting card list for us here??? We have all kinds of days to send a greeting.
Even left handers day. In AZ they celebrate Cinco-de-mayo . (the 5th of may) A mexican holiday. Do many there speak spanish???
Great fun greeting cards.
Our Gov't rearranges some holidays so Gov't workers get an extra paid day off.
Most don't do anything anyway.
I had a wonderfull dinner, but sure cannot be Thankfull for our Gov't.

Most of us are Thankfull every day for lots of things in our lives, as I know you are too.
