Post blktx45

I need help and am not sure who or where to turn. I truly want to stop drinking. Sunday I was Driving a car and lucky for innocent people I or god gave me the chance to pull the car over on the side of the road shut off the vehicle and pass out. A short time latter a couple a police officers woke me up. They did not arrest me, but they let me call to have someone come and pick me up. I really need someone to talk to.

Thumbs up Hi and Welcome

we are so glad you are here.

Drinking was also my downfall years ago.

I found AA and quit. So can you.

Stick around...you are bot alone and we do understand.

Blessings...

Welcome to SR.

This is a great place to start reaching out for help. I also used AA as my program of recovery. Meetings are virtually everywhere in the States.

Keep us posted!

Welcome blktx45 glad you have come here for support. I hope you will also reach out to your local A.A. that's a great place to start. I am glad you are safe and no one got hurt. I know that is a really scary place to be and next time you might not be so lucky. If you don't that that first drink it won't happen. I know easier said than done. With the help of A.A., a sponsor, here and other support you too can stay sober "one day at a time". I hope to see you around. I will keep you in my prayers.

Sherry

Thanks for sharing blktx45. Getting honest is a great start. Lucky for all, you came to your senses and pulled over. May not be so lucky next time. Welcome to SR. We all have one thing in common that is for sure, we are addicts and alkies. Stay close to the forum and try to find some meetings to go to. Most important, don't drink.
