hello to all!
i'm not new to the 12 step program,06/87 i went in to recovery from alcohol!
then 6 &1/2 yrs. ago somebody close & dear to me introduced me to meth.
at the time i honestly had not a clue what it was nor anything about it.
hindsight IS 20-20!!
i'm pretty "book-smart",but not too "street-smart" to this day.
i just want a simple life back,even if it means without him.sometimes i think to myself,if i'd only known...
i'd appreciate any support from your online group!
tonight,(tues.),i'm going to my "old" home group for a meeting!!

Welcome to SR! We're glad you're here.

The best thing you can do for yourself is get to that meeting. The 12 steps are a way out of this terrible disease, in all of its disguises.

Welcome to SR. Stay close and stay away from that meth person. He/She is not acting like a close and dear person, no regard to your sobriety, but that is cause misery loves company and he/she knows not what they do. That sh*t'll kill you dead. Do some research on this forum and find a link which takes you to a site dedicated to a man who died from that drug. I think the lady posts on the alanon threads and her husbands link is in her sig. Very sad, but true.
