na4today is back

and I am a rehab flunky. I couldn't take it there anymore. I was really surprised that there were drugs in there. Don't understand the point of being there if you are still using. Some of the staff members would bring it in. The food was gross, the bathrooms were gross. It was like a social community for most of them there. Too many of them wanted me to be their rehab girlfriend. The place was a nightmare. I'm glad to be home. I missed my family and I missed my bed. And I missed this place.
I am 61 days clean today and that is good. Hope everyone else has been ok!

It is a hole. It is a state run center. Way back when it was a military base. There are tunnels that connect all the buildings together. And after the base left the whole campus was the mental hospital until they divided it into different facilities. The place has quite a history.

Freakin' thanks Dan

((((Kathy))))

Glad that you are back and hanging in there, that is what I am doing today is just hanging in there, alot of it for me today is only 2 hours sleep in the last few days...But I am very irritable, restless, and discontent, but this too will pass if I don't use or drink today...
Love Vic

Kathy,

I'm glad you're back. Too bad rehab was icky but the main thing is that you're clean and sober.

I have a few choice 4-letter words for rehab, and mine was really good when you start comparing. (now that's a scary thought.)

Welcome back Kathy. Congratulations on your 61 days.

Welcome back Kathy!!! Your experience isn't unusual, there are always drugs sneaking into our rehab too, much as we try to prevent that. It's harder than you think to monitor. I hope you got something out of being there, even if it was one message. Glad to see you back and congrats on 60 days. Did you PC or did you leave early?

I don't know what PC means but I left early. When my counselor gave me my treatment plan, it was an estimate of 3 1/2 months. I knew I couldn't stay away from my daughter that long and visits were every two weeks for 1 1/2 hours.
I will be ok not being there, I have a good support group and my na meetings. I am going to day treatment and working the steps with my counselor and this great place to come to!

PC=phase completed. Basically it means you stayed for the entire time you were scheduled to be there. Where I work, my crew is mostly court mandated so other places may call it something else. I'm glad to see you're going to an outpatient day program in addition to working ours. With everything else you are doing, it looks like a nice balance of 12 step and formal treatment. Different insights are always good.
