what do you do to pick yourself up when you feel blue?
for myself.. go to the tanning booth twice a week for 15 minutes of sunshine.. makes me feel warm and serene.

Great post! I was thinking of starting the same thing!
My hobbies are reading and bathing so a good book and a bath is heaven. The other thing is being outside doing anything. It always lifts my spirits. Walking, yard work, throwing a frisbie to my dog. And I love Fall!

*I get on the phone and gab with people I know have lots of positive energy
*I go ride my horse, who always has way too much positive energy
*I drive my car out to the country, scream and curse and hollar and cry
*I hug my dogs, play fetch with them and teach them super silly tricks
*Plan in my head my ultimate life, who's there, what's it look like, what I'm doing and all the names of my imaginary horses in my imaginary barn with my imaginary children, my imaginary perfect house, with my imaginary perfect husband (basically I play barbie dolls in my head!)
*Do self-hypnosis and meditation tapes
*paint, write poetry, do something creative

play music that helps me either express my blues or lift them......
take a bath and sprinkle lavendar and peppermint in the water...
do something that helps me get out of my head: yoga, reiki, meditative prayer, walk...
get in a natural setting and breathe deeply......
