made it day 8
made it day 8
Today makes my 8th day sober...
Had a bit of a rough time in my mind for a little bit "you know that mind battle when you get around the stuff." We went to a wedding and there was alcohol and then afterwards went over to a friends house and he offered my husband and I a beer and I declined both times.
Know one knows of my problem but my husband. Even if I tried to take a drink he would NOT let me. I guess you can say he is my baby sitter on the matter. Which is something I definaly need right now.
I think that I am also going to try a meeting this week "I have not been to one yet" as well I have so many questions.

Congratulations Missbliss!
I am Babysitting my 21 year daughter and she is on her 2nd month of recovery and I know how hard it is and how much she struggles!
She LOVES the meetings....keep going, everyday if possible, you will be amazed at how they help!

Congrats on day 8 and for being able to hold on through a wedding!!!
I remeber sneaking off to the bathroom with a few glasses at one wedding when I "wasnt drinking." How lame was that, like no one could tell
Hope you follow up and go to a meeting. No good reason not to give it a try.
Most likely you will meet some nice people and and and....
Take Care
