Bummed out today

Glad to be divorced but I have a much better future financial picture today. The settlement was funded by a home equity line of credit I opened two years ago, (in preparation). Just got the bill today and the minimum payment is going to be tough. So I cash in my 401K, loosing money anyway, pay down the Equity line some, (but not even close to pay off). I'm still going to need to rent out the basement. 45 yrs old w/ a roommate, not much retirement left, and way in debt, and I still owe my lawyer! SHEESH!!

I've been so UP lately!

GGGGRRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!

Whack *on the head with a ping pong paddle*
"don't get married again"
Whack
"don't get married again"
whack
"don't get married again"

*HUGS*

Trust me I know the feeling!!!!

The first one I received my daughter (would never give her up) and the monthly payment on that is HUGE... not much help there.

The second he got the boat, suburban, house, and I got 75% of the bills... that one cost me a bankruptcy.

But after being divorced for 7 years, therphy and Al-anon.... I would do it again. My picker was broken and I was choosing the wrong peeps. Its only money and material items, I have time to rebuild that and what I have gained in happiness and growth is priceless.

Hang in there, give it some time and work on yourself... you never know, could be a blessing in the making.... it might be that really cute girl that calls on the basement apartment that makes your heart pound.

When I go to bed and there's rain outside I remind myself I'm somewhere warm and dry. Sometimes that helps make anything else feel okay - just enjoying a warm quilt!

(It only works tucked up in bed with rain outside though - so if you find anything better share.....)

Sorry it's crappy.

What an ar$e. It really is (almost) enough to stop one getting married. But not if you have the Red Flag warning list. Ta da!!

Hang in there, fella. You don't know what's around the corner.

Cwohio - It's "english speak" from the Equus "Resentment" thread. And I don't think it would be a good idea to call an english dude a "plonker head"...

Only if I can watch!!

One day while trying not to swear I called a guy a 'cheese board cheese slice' because he cut me up on the road, unfortunately I had a passenger and despite around 5 years passing it gets remembered. I even get introduced as the friend taht called a guy 'cheese board cheese slice'. *cringes*

Well ok they might laugh - lots - but I think getting smacked with a skillet is a bit harsh....

Mind you it could be used as a secret weapon to disarm them of their bodily ability, and distract them with the task of not weeing their pants!! But then to whack them with a skillet as WELL - cwohio I'M SHOCKED....

You complaining, mister?

Did you want to wallow in your misery, or get cheered up? Nothing we can do about your situation except commiserate and send you on your way with a smile. Did we succeed?
