Welcome to SR Winter Princess!
Hey there, WP! Welcome to SR. I am glad you found us.
I saw the other thread, and couldn't contribute because I just didn't know what to say. There didn't seem to be any words to make up for what you had already heard. I truly hope you won't let that experience keep you from sticking around and letting us get to know you.
Hang in there.....
Hugs--

Hi ((((Winter Princess)))) ...a warm welcome to SoberRecovery.
I'm so sorry you had a bad start here, but you know what we're all and all a pretty good gang here, I've learned a long time ago to let things slide off my back, we can't please everyone can we? and why should we? we don't expect it from them. I've learned to let other's harsh words go back to them when I know I didn't deserve it, hope you will too life is hard enough as it is.
Hope to get to know you so we can do all we can to help you, please stick around I know you'll soon love it here.
Wishing you all the best in your sobriety, so happy you've found us.
Much love from a recovering alcoholic today....Denise
P.S. I like the screen name you chose.

I am also new to Sober Recovery and am interested in finding out about online AA meetings. Would someone please steer me in the right direction? By the way, I have enjoyed the posts and responses over these last few days. God knows I could use some "new" friends who care and support my decisdion to get sober. Looking forward to getting to know you guys.
Right on Clean..

Hi Winter Princess. Again, my sincere apologies for my impulsive and selfish reaction to your avatar. I also humbly apologize to other posters I may have offended.
Being newly sober, I'm still trying to get a good grip on the raw emotions that I once dealt with in a drunken fog.
Still, I feel really horrible about what happened, and believe me, it hurts. Though it wasn't my conscious intent to hurt you, I always felt that for one person to hurt another, they must be hurting in some way also. Keeping this in mind, this is how I learned to forgive others for hurting me. But I'm going to swallow the lump in my throat, and examine what I did wrong without taking a drink, so hopefully I will become a much better person.
Thank you for accepting my apology on the old thread, and hopefully you will keep some of the good stuff in mind that was there.
