Post My ISM's

Yesterday Morning, I had a great time did some work, read and posted here, chaired a meeting here and then in the afternoon I was sitting right here working and I started feeling irratible. It seemed to me that without much warning a huge wave of anger erupted in me, it got to the point I was shaking.

I fought it as hard as I could and have not expereinced anger like this before or if I have it was decades ago as a teenager. It was all I could do not to pick up the phone and let go with both barrels at my best friend. After about an hour I stoppped working went outside with a whipper sinpper and took my anger out on the grass (I apolgised to the grass this morning) that disspapated most of the anger at least to the point where I could get on the phone and talk about it.

Its Sunday Morning here now and I have had a good nights sleep and am ok. It has shown me that the problems are alive and well within me and I have much to do.

Thank God I did not take it out on anyone, including myself.

Thats one of the reasons I am here and will stay here.

Thanks FriendofBill,

You can always roll up a towel and pound the floor and scream if thats possible, it releases teh worts of teh anger.

(((Nogard)))

I am glad for you that you have experienced/decompressed these genuine feelings in a healthy way and feel comfortable discussing them in the forum...I truly feel an honest dialogue is helpful. Thinking about you today,
whip that grass into shape!

Glad you're doing OK, nogard. You Raging Weed Whipper, you. Feeling the Fury Unknown, is scary. That sounds like what happened to me a couple weeks ago.

Is irritability just in the air? It seems I get in a bad mood almost instantantously...is that a word?

Hiya Losingmylife! Welcome Aboard! There's been some tension lately. But Otherwise, Sober Recovery is a great place to hang out & get support!

Mood Swings, eh? Those are the pits. I have days where I'm all kinked up & cranky, I don't know whether I'm coming or going.
