I am making a list of all the things I do and using it for many things, one of them is to pick out those I think are negative and I can change. One of these is swearing or cussing I think you call it in the USA. I have always used swear words in my day to day speech and I have been thinking that I connect most of these words to negative thoughts or actions. So the last week or so I have been wondering about stopping using them and replacing them with some sweeter, more positive or more descriptive words.

Anyway, what do you think? I know it may seem like a small thing but anything that connects me back to the negative I need to look at.

I used to have a bad habit of saying, "Jesus Christ." I've replaced it with "Cheese and Rice!" I get the oddest looks when I say it.

I do the same thing when I talk NG, and have been working on it myself too. It's a hard habit for me to break somedays, although I pretty good about not doing it when I'm in a group of people. Good luck man!

Thanks Doug. I have noticed in the last week that I can stop swearing most of the time in public, but in my head or on my own it sort of just plays like a record, so I need to work on changing the recod then

I have also noticed music, which I love can change my mood too, so I am starting to get picky about what I listen too.
