Happy Birthday Walkingtheline!!!
Happy Birthday Walkingtheline!!!
Hope you have a wonderful day, Irene. You deserve a special day for being such a special person. Hope Mr Moonlight has lots of fantastic surprises planned for you!
Thanks everyone!
The celebration started last night. Mr. Moonlight picked me up to go teach my class..but told me he had seen the director and class was starting 30 mins late-a power problem.
We drive, we're talking, I look up at the street sign and realize we're way past our turn-- "Uh, isn't Knott Ave back there?" His reply was something about talking too much and overshooting the street. O......k....it never happens but ok. All of a sudden he says, "Hey, as long as we're over here I want to show you something" and he drives me to a subdivision and shows me a very nice fountain in someone's yard. "I just thought it was cool, wanted you to see it." Back on the road, driving towards class...he turns into a fast food. HUH? "I am just so thirsty, want a soda?" While in the line his cell rings, he answers it, says "OK" and hangs it back up. Says, "I wish people would dial the right number!" Gets sodas, we head towards class.
We pull up and there's 30 people or so standing outside...I get out and they're all singing "Happy Birthday". Cake, coffee...a HUGE vase of flowers and a lot of little thoughtful gifts...plants, a fountain pen, gift certificate for restaurants and a manicure! It was a lovely night.
At exactly 6:30 this morning (when my alarm goes off) someone was knocking at my door. I grabbed my robe and answered it. A teenager, holding a large cup of starbucks coffee, a happy birthday balloon and an envelope. You guessed it, Mr. Moonlight sent him. Hot coffee to start my day-the envelope contained a lovely letter. It ends with, "have a great day at work, more later."
So I guess...more later!

Dinner at the beach!
He packed a picnic...shrimp salad, crackers and chips, cold grapes and strawberries...a thermos of hot coffee and some cold sodas. We watched the sunset, ate, walked and talked, then sat by a fire ring and listened to music and the waves. It was a very nice ending to a very nice day!
Thank you all for you the happy greetings and wishes-your good cheer added to my spectacular day!
