Finally!

After 104 Days Sober and many many meetings today I actually asked someone who I like and has many years sober to be my sponsor and they said yes.

So I am now the proud owner of a sponsor

Congratulations on the time collected and on the ownership.

Now just as any good tool, it does better to use it as intended, then it does to put it on a shelf.

Not that Bogie had a sponsor... not that I know of, anyway...

It isn't a thing of being good at it. As you said; its a two way street.
When we walk on the same street, we see the same things.
Before we ran up and down, now we are learning to walk and see things we couldn't see at a fast pace.

Hey Nogard! Congratulations on the clean time and for getting a sponsor! That's great news and I'm so proud of you! I'm early in recovery and working the steps (91 days and still on Step One .... gah! It's a LOT of writing! Carpal tunnel! Carpal tunnel!) LOL! But I'm lovin' every minute of it. Thank God for NA! And congratulations, again!

Thanks T4C and Chris. I am working on step 3, but I shall see what my sponsor says about that, may have to go back to step 1, I don't mind, it will be good to work the steps with some guidance

What does your new sponsor think of your towel pounding technique? I guess it beats getting into bar fights. Good luck on your sponsor.

Thanks Irish.

I dunno, haven't told him yet, I never got into fights, so its not about that, for me its more about that low level anger that has no particular outlet. Its a way of dissapating or dissolving the anger so I can move on emotionally and spiritually.
