Better Health
I did not realize what a toll alcoholism had on my physical health. I knew I was damaging my liver, but I didn't realize some of my other problems were because of alcohol.
I still have severe depression...probably even worse than when I was drinking...but I'm feeling so much better physically at 33 days....

Fantastic!
Congradulations on your sober time!
My depression fled when I was 2/3 months sober.
It has never returned and I take no depression meds.
I hope the same will be true for you too!

Hi Valeria - Well done on the 33 days - Like CarolD - my depression went away like magic after a couple of months - It was like I woke up one morning wearing someone else's head. And since then almost everything else - apart from having re-gained the 30 lbs or so I lost when I stopped drinking :-( - has got better and easier.
You'll probably be noticing your patience and tolerance returning and speed of thought starting to increase - I wish it were possible to bottle this sobriety thing - I'd sell it and make a fortune. Having a life really is quite adictive.
As Winston Churchill said - "Keep on buggering on"
