Hi Again...
what did your doctor say? Have you gone?
Each person has their own set of health issues...not all are alcohol related.
My Mom r was a non drinker with diabetes for 40 years.
Diabetes is also an alcohol related condition.
I am a diavetic.. which was caused by genetics or alcoholism?
Please get a full physical to set your mind at ease.
How are you doing with your sobriety?
There are many AA meetings in your area. Call
202..966..9115 to find them.

I know. I got drunk and sober in D.C.
That number is for Metro DC/CVa./Md and has meetings in the whole area.
If you call and Glen Burnie is not
listed with them they will give you the correct number.
Or call Baltimore AA Central Office for info.
Sitting around worrying about your drinking and health will get you only sicker. Get busy and get help please.

As far as I know, all I have suffered is the usual depression and anxiety. However, I know someone who almost died twice from pancreatitis and liver failure. She bloated up like a balloon, her skin and eyes were yellow, and she was bleeding everywhere. She has now been sober over 14 years.
Go to a doctor. If you don't get help, you could die from this. It is as simple as that.

Alcohol poisoning rates pretty high on my list of ''adverse side effects'' from being a daily drinker. I drank heavily for 20 years. It sent me to the hospital numerous times. The other ill effects include kidney failure, liver/spleen/pancreas failure, brain damage, permanent peripheral nerve damage (tingling of extremeties & poor vision).
Varying degrees of Memory loss. This one in particular annoys the Hell out of me. I forget WTF I'm doing all the time--I'd forget my head if it wasn't attached to the rest of my body.
Toxic levels of alcohol in the bloodstream 0.4% BAC and higher can cause coma and even death. The human body can take a lot of punishment, HOWEVER, Sudden withrawal from alcohol can have terminal effects such as; hysteria, psychosis, neurosis, seizures, and anaphylactic shock (traumatic allergen response).
If you're in pain, drop whatever you're doing and get to a hospital or a clinic ASAP. You may also need a supervised detox.
