Hi to all,
I always wake up in the morning feeling really positive , but my resolve begins to flounder come the afternoon and evening, so I have made myself a little card and had it laminated,to keep in my wallet.
It reads:
Remember how you awoke this morning.
Happy,healthy and totally proud of
yourself.All because you chose not to
drink yesterday. You can feel exactly the
same way tomorrow morning if you
chose not to drink today. OR, you can
drink today and wake up tomorrow
feeling shattered and demoralized.
THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

Yes....good idea.

I used to carry the AA Promises and the Serenity Prayer in my purse.

When I was tempted...I whipped them out to remind myself of my goal.

That is a good one! I always said to myself "Please don't let me make my past become my future" Then the reality of my drinking/using would come into focus.
