He left a note
When I got home from work today, I found a note from my AH who has been gone for about 8 days. It read "Thanks for the space. I do miss you. I hope we can work this out someday." He had taken some more of his clothes so apparently he still needs more space! Any thoughts????? Thanks! Liz

Initially I was relieved to have heard from him in some form at least. But the more I think about it, the more p.o.'d I get. What kind of b.s. is that "hope we can work this out some day". Some day???? What the heck is that supposed to mean? Obviously he doesn't miss me enough to come home. He needs space??? He's just running away, as usual. Grrrrrrrrr . . . Guess I needed to vent a little bit :-)

Mine has been doing that.....for 3 years now. Still paying the bills; involved as much (maybe more?) than when he was under roof. Kids are happier.......I don't know which way, so it works for me to let him hit his bottom with only a "2nd row seat" and enjoy the kids, let them have friends over w/out all the hassel and work on my own recovery and decide what I want to do. It has worked for me, but now it's not working for him. Our youngest graduated from HS so I didn't plan to make any major moves......stay at home mom; 51 yrs, married 27 yrs.....let him selfdestruct while I go about my life.
I know it wouldn't work for many of you; but for me, what's the hurry..........I can work on my own recovery during this hallway time. It is odd......but what isn't with them? and sad.
Good luck to you; your answers will come, I am sure!

Here's another point of view... you heard from him and now you know he won't be "bugging" you for a while. So why not take this opportunity to pour all your love and energy into someone that matters, you? This time is a gift to you. A chance to see life without the chaos!
So how do you want to spend it?
Hugs,
Shannon
