2 Weeks Clean Today!
Hello everyone I'd just like to introduce myself.. Im Nikki and Im an addict. I have 14 days sober today. My drug of choice is Meth... and it is something that is more difficult to overcome than I had first imagined. I have been an addict for 5 years. What brought me to NA was, well besides a divine intervention, is I found myself in the county jail, with posession and commercial burglary charges. Part of my sentencing requires me to attend meetings. But although I have a "court card", that does not mean I do not appreciate the opportunity given to me, or that I do not sincerely want to stay sober. I am trying. I was 2 days shy of getting my 30 day chip when I went back out and used. This "run" lasted 3 days... and I've heard it said at NA that once you've been a part of this program you will never use the same again, and I thank God that is true.
I attend New Beginnings Fellowship in Fresno... and I am having a hard time feeling comfortable there. I am very shy, and it is almost impossible for me to introduce myself. As a result I do not have a sponsor but I desperately need one. If anyone could direct me on how to go about obtaining one... I would really appreciate that. I need help.

Nikki, Congratulations on your clean time.
You will find a lot of support and healing here at SR.
