Big Oops

Well, It was only a matter of time before this happened. I got busted.

There is a computer policy at work. Internet access is for work related business only. Some personal business is ok, but it must be limited.

Seems they pulled my internet usage for the month of June and it looks much worse on paper than it actually is. Nontheless, I'm on "watch" now.

This means I won't be here as much as I'd like. I rarely get a chance to log on when I'm at home.

But anyway, I will be thinking of you all. I just won't get to check in as much as I'd like.

I love you all

Oh dear. And I'm sure being here makes you work better too.

I work for myself from home and I have SR on all day. Most of my work is on the net and as I've just got broadband I just leave myself logged in and refresh every so often. So I know what you mean about it looking worse than it actually is. If I pulled off the pc log on myself it would be terrible!

Hope you can carve out some "SR" time at home. We'll miss having you around - you'll just have to post lots when you get the chance!!

If your bosses only knew how beneficial your accesing SR is to them! Im sure it helps you become a more productive and stable employee.

MAybe try to use that argument on them to give you back acess! LOL

who knows, but anyway, we will still be here for the times you can get on.
Dont worry, if you keep coming back, you wont lose what youve already gotten!!

I agree with FOB. It may actually help folks be more productive because they tend to worry less over problems at home, thus allowing them to focus more on their jobs.

Like Minnie I am on SR all day as well. I work from home too so I don't have anyone looking over my shoulder. Try to find the time at home to log on, I look forward to your posts and the amazing recovery you continue to make.
Love, Patty

FOB - that was the first thing I told him when I was told I have to leave my personnal life at home. I told him that it may sound silly to him, but after having all personnal stuff weighing on my mind all night, I come here to unload so that I can concentrate on my work. I also explained that I pop in periodically to see what kind of advice or suggestions the people here may have for the situation I'm dealing with.

I told him it was not an excuse, I just felt he needed to understand my perspective.

Oh well, I was wrong. I admit that.

.....I promise I'm not dwelling on this issue

They have the same sort of policy where I work. They give you very limited time on internet usage. Every month we get a time usage report with our time listed on it. If we go over,we are not allowed to use the internet for the next month. Know it sounds very unfair, but we have had some bloke peeking at porn. It ruins it for the rest of the people who use it wisely.

ouch, I've really taken notice of this one and reminded myself the same policy exists at my workplace....however, as has been said, although it is sort of affecting my work, it is also helping it at the same time, by helping me..not like I can concentrate any better without it that's for sure
