Finally sober on a friday night .........
Hi Guys Im so proud of my self I was completely sober last night for those of you who have read my posts before you will know that although I stopped drinking in the week I really just binged on a friday sometimes saturday ,well here i am NO HANGOVER ..........i KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I DID LAST NIGHT .......WHAT I SAID LAST NIGHT ............NO GUILT, NOT ILL ..............SLEPT IN MY BED NOT ON FLOOR OR SOFA .................
I feel great still taking every 24 hours as they come but for today i am so glad i finally got it right ................................thanks for all your support as always love Lulu xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

That is so awesome!!! Well done! I bet you were able to have a great energetic day today...waking up without the hangover and associated guilt and remorse is great isn't it! You KNOW you can do it now!

Great news Luluebel. Congratulations! I know how tough those Friday nights can be and the Friday after that and the Friday after that. Keep up the good work and the good fight. You can break the cycle.

Thanks for all your support guys , 2dayzmuze and pedagogue I did drink on saturaday but only 3 sounds bad i know but for me it is brilliant i just kept thinking how great i felt with no hangover etc ........................so I stopped drinking which for me is unbelievable because once i have one i normally just drink till i pass out .......
So here I am feeling pretty proud of myself and really hoping i can do it again this week thanks for everything love Lulu xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Congrats on the Friday part! It's the "stopping for good" hangup that I stumbled over for a while. During the first couple weeks, I was still drinking. I was drinking subconsciously too, trying to rationalize how many drinks I could have and not get nailed by a random urinalysis test at work. It didn't equate, so I finally had to throw in the towel.
After drinking for SO LONG, it was difficult at first. I just went to more meetings. The urges finally disappeared entirely.
