Lightbulb 5 Weeks

Day 35 Today, 5 weeks. I have work again, my health is slowly improving, I laugh a lot and sing while I am working. Mornings are the best, blessed mornings, I wake up feeling so alive and fresh, with energy to spare its just amazing. I exercise every day. I have re-connected with some friends, they are all supportive, I have a life again, or the start of one. My daughter is so pleased, I can see it in her eyes and hear it in her voice, makes me tearful just to say that.

Still many issues facing me, lots of cleaning up to do and many things to face, but one day at a time.

My best friend is arriving home today after 3 months working in Europe, we have talked on the phone every day and even though he was 12,000 miles away he has been my lifeline, I am so looking forward to seeing him again and I know he will continue to be as supportive every day.

Well thats my update in brief, I hope your all doing well and today is another great day 24 hours of being clean.

Thanks Kel and Chy.

I do it along AA principles I guess, 1 day at a time, I have a buddy who knows what I am going through and I have other support as well. I also talk to AA members during the week, they are great very supportive. Plus I am a member of SR and as I have access all day it is a great source of strength and support as well as fun.

I guess as I quit Herion after being addicted from when I was 16 - 25 and have been clean of that every since (29 Years) and I found the help I knew I needed and would work for me, thats what I am doing with my sobriety, making sure I have the support I need, taking it one day at a time and putting my sobriety first, above everything else. I have a Daily list of things to do. No 1 on my list is; NO First Drink and therefore NO drinks, for me thats says it all.

I want to say CLEARLY, I know AA is fantastic, just need to do this my way. I would not have written this but Chy asked and when someone asks me I answer honestly, well as honestly as I can, not too good at explaining things about myself, hopefully that will get better as well

Well I have to go, dogs to walk, House Cleaning to do, lovely exercise to do, shopping and all the time that lovely Music playing in my head, how does it go...... I don't know but its bouncy happy lively full of love and hope and gratitude
