Im new to this sight. I have been clean for 2 months and I have been very depressed and lonely. I have no friends who are clean so I am alone in this fight. But when I couldnt sleep and I came onto this sight, I had tears of joy. I want to share the things that I am feeling and Im sure here someone will understand me. I will go to sleep now and now I know that i will awake tomarrow with some faith that things will get easier. I really need someone to talk to so if anyone wants to talk I really would like that. I am hoping to find knew friends who are sharing this fight against addiction just like I am.

Welcome rngire! I too found this a great place to make connections. I also know I need more than e-mail friends and have started to go to AA meetings. Its a good place to find fun, well-grounded sober people. You will find they do more than just meetings too. It's good to see you have found hope in SR.

Hello and welcome! My name is Laura and I am a gratefully recovering alkie/pothead. Hope is a wonderful thing to have. I love this site and have been coming here on a fairly regular basis for almost a year now. I have also built a great network of friends and support people through the fellowship of AA. Have you been to any support meetings? There are also lots of other ways to make new, sober friends. Join a gym, take an art class, join a book club.
