Hi, I'm Pete and I'm an alcoholic.

This is my 1st shot at AA and I'm ten days sober tonight...

I'm trying for 90/90 and my family & I are going to Disney World in 3 weeks... Anyone know if AA has any meetings on the grounds and if so, how I would go about getting a schedule with times and locations???????

Thanks to all for their well wishes and replies. The rooms, readings, calls to AA's and now, this board, are all making it posssible.

The hardest thing for me to do right now is to learn how to do "normal" things that "normal" people do, but doing them sober. Gardening yesterday and seeing Star Wats with my family sober were wonderful experiences. Also, going to Church and giving thanks as opposed to apologizing felt great...

I'll keep coming back...

Welcome! Congrats on 10 days....It sounds like you're already expriencing the benefits of sobriety. It gets EVEN better!

I'm doing 90/90 also and it's awesome. Don't think about 90 days, just wake up and plan the day you're in around a meeting... You can do this..

HI Pete, way to go on those 10 beautiful days and welcome to SR! Sounds like you're experiencing those great joys of the life of being sober. Good feeling, huh?

You keep hanging in there and stick around for lots of great support! Hope you have lots of fun at Disney World. It is great to experience life sober!

Welcome aboard SR and great choice in seeking AA. It sure made my past couple trips to Disney World much more enjoyable by being sober. ;-) Before tapping into AA, Disney World was a nightmare and I have a Sister still willing to remind me of my trip there in my last year of drinking. Keep coming back and its nice to see your seeking contacts before going.
