Wanting to introduce myself
A friend of mine that is in recovery told me about this forum. I have been looking it over for a few days and I must say it seems very easy to use, interesting and helpful. As for myself I am an alcoholic and drug addict plus countless other obsessions. I have been sober for over two years now although I do take medication for depression and anxiety. Thankful that right now am not abusing either medication.
My son is going through the worst time of his life at this time and I really don't know how to deal very good. I can deal with my problems just not his. He has of course inherited (or learned ) the same problems his Dad and I have lived with too. I will be reading on these types of subjects while here and maybe can even help someone alone the way.

Welcome. I was / am a childhood addict ("medicated" by adults at 13, then began "supporting" my various "likes" by about late 14, early 15ish). Anything I can do to help you I will.
