I just found out this morning that I am being sued. This is going to make sober day #5 extremely difficult.

Great to see you...I'm so sorry to hear that. All I can say is )sorry it's so hackneyed) but getting drunk will ONLY make it worse. You are doing so great, hang in there.

I don't see why being sued would make staying sober more difficult? Will drinking make the creditors go away? Does being sued change whatever reasons you had 5 days ago to stay sober? I would have thought that being sued would be another great reason to say the last thing I need right now is to drink.

I am not having a go. I believe that drinking can result from distorted (untrue) reasoning. It takes time to straighten the thinking logically. Hang in there.

YEP-using is a quite rational response to a quite irrational world - BUT there is no situation so bad that i cannot make worse by using over it...

5 days into my recovery and it would have been difficult for me to get my head around 'hope' and 'faith'
So i listened to folk with more time than i had. they all said : this too shall pass, "one day at a time" "letgo, letgod" etc.

and it worked

went from having damnlittle to live for , to having a big life

I'm hanging in there.............................the alcoholic mind thinks that alcohol solves problems -- my frazzled nerves will go away, etc.

I went jogging. That helped alleviate some of the tension. Still not drinking.

If you plan to declare Chapter 13/7 do it quickly. The laws will be stricter in 5 months.

Oh the lawsuit is not related to finances/not paying creditors.

Fun-I am very glad that you are still sober....no matter what the issue-we can rationalize it and then we have a reason....I could tell you a story BUT.....it is just too unreal or surreal....I did not use, though.....YEAH....Keep up the good work....kahlia

So glad to see you putting so much effort - it will pay off. It brings such joy to read posts and see friends pull through so much and with so much support from SR.

On my down days I sometimes am too down to actually post but I read and read and it has never failed me yet when I have been honest with myself.

Keep reading - keep posting and do get to a meeting if you can as it will help tremendously ......You are doing GREAT!!!!
