Hey Madmax, welcome. This is a wonderful place for support and advice. People are here for you any time 24/7 and really care about you. I fell off the wagon last night and in less than 24 hours had over 30 messages and better than half a dozen personal messages, all supporting me and offering help. There are quite a few Brits on the boards as well, I'm sure you will be able to meet some of them. I don't use any of the IM programs myself, but many here do, so I'm sure you'll find plenty of folks to add. Anyway, congrats on your 48 hrs, you got 24 more than me!!

We generally don't arrive here without a little miserable Max...
Fact is, a lot of us who've been sober for a bit still have miserable days. We just get through them without getting juiced.
I don't know how much you drank up until two days ago, bur chances are good you're in the middle of alcohol withdrawal, and that's never pleasant.
Do you have any info on withdrawal, and what to look for as warning signs, and some of the things we can do to ease the discomfort?

Mad max just stay with your plan 3 things that has worked the best for me.
#1 I dont ever drink now.
#2 I do it a day at a time.
#3 I post and read these threads.
I am proud of you even if you cant feel that for your self yet; soon you will and then it comes and goes.
I hope this will help you along your way now that you have quit.
Welcome again friend.

hey max no problem trust me you'll fill those what seems like empty days. right now your body is going through a change trust me on this.... there is a light at the end of the tunnel. maybe you should look into AA in your area... its a great fellowship and trust me they have plenty to do to help fill out your day!!!
Sober thoughts coming your way!!!
