what is a relapse?

is drinking at a party so you get in a good mood , a relapse?
is smoking pot one night a relapse?
what about taking some more sleep pills than you really need and then wait a bit so you can feel them, before you go to bed.

Please let me know your thoughts about this?

IMHO if you are doing any of the above you are not even in recovery, to have a relapse.

Clean & Sober is just that Clean & Sober.

I consider that to be a relapse if you are in recovery. Alcohol, pot, and pills alter the mind and anytime your mind is altered you are not clean and sober.

I used to think that because my DOC was cocaine that if I took a drink, I didn't consider that a relapse. As long as I wasn't doing my DOC, I thought I was ok. I turned out to be wrong. The other stuff seemed to escalate in the absence of my DOC.

I know that little voice he use to live in my head also. He still visits me every now and then I just kick his butt out. Good luck wolverine, You can do this and the best thing about it is that you do not have to do it alone.

Hoping and praying that little voice moves out soon.

I have that voice! I call it the beast He's a sly one alright, always whispering in my head, telling me "it's ok, go on, nobody has to know"...but I would know...

And hey, at some point we all are or have been insane but that 's ok too!

Yeah, that voice is the beast. He tries to get me too but I wrestle with him and kick him out.
