Day 49

Hellooooo

7 weeks for me today clean and sober. I actually made it through a week long vacation in the sun in the caribbean without drinking - it was very hard early in the week, but got a little easier later. Anyway, I am glad to be back and back here on SR. For all newcomers, if I can do this, you can too!! Just don't get too far ahead of your self - decide to not drink for today. I also have found AA to be helpful as I found a very good meeting. Just wanted to share some positive news on Easter Sunday.

A week in the carribean is what I should have done, all those times before...

Great to read positive news when checking in.

30 days just around the corner for me and am further encouraged by your comment: "if I can do this..." and humbled by the note of caution of not getting too far ahead of one's self.

Hey JM,

Congrats on 49 days! I'm still right behind you with 48. Glad you were able to take a vacation and not drink. I am looking forward to taking a vacation someday again and need to hear that we can do it sober. Glad you found a meeting you like too!
