On a brighter note....

I COMPLETELY FINISHED THE WORK ON MY CAR TONIGHT!!!! YEAH ME!!!!

It took me four hours, my hands are black and i have grease under my nails (cute for a Secretary don't you think?) but I got it done. And I got rid of some of that frustration...

Yeah Jessica!!!! I am going to attemp, drumroll..........to replace a burnt out turn signal bulb tomorrow!!! AH can change the brake pads, but said replacing the bulb would be a lot of work so he couldn't do it tonight. I think maybe it's because he HAD to go to his friends house. hmmmm So I told him I would do it myself.

quick tricks to clean your nails-

Dip your fingers in cooking oil. Make sure it get's under your nails. Then use a little dawn or other dishwashing soap with a brush.

If they're still stained, soak your fingertips in peroxide...the kind for cuts-not hair!

Still not as pristine as you'd like? Paint them with a dark color next week, deep pink, true red ect!

GO GIRL GO!

I must ask..............
What all did you fix on your car?

I'd rather work on my car or mow the grass than cook dinner any day.

I am with you! Would rather work on my car,mow a lawn,be in the garden. Just hate cooking, ironing and cleaning that ??? loo.

JessicaNAJ...good for you. Gives a person a very good feeling to know you can actually do something difficult..you have never done before. Love hearing stories like this. Gives me hope to know there are other people who aren't afraid to get out there and do the job. Think you deserve a big party. Wish I was there to take you out for a slap-up meal.

The thought of having to fix my car is something that I avoid. Guess because he does it all. You've got to have a wonderful sense of accomplishment. I admire you for what you did.

If your nails are still stained, dip your fingers in bleach.

Thanks for the tips WTL and Kathy - Funny, I never thought of dawn??? And I use it for everything.

Still not as pristine as you'd like? Paint them with a dark color next week, deep pink, true red ect!
That was my next option....

I had to replace the inner and outer tie rod ends.

I hate cooking - that was my AH's job, but I work in the yard all summer. My project for this summer is picking up a yard full of rock so I can grow grass and hopefully putting up my mom's old pool for the kids. I am so not looking forward to that.

Mindi - the lights should be a breeze. Let us know how it goes. I have replace one of my break lights but it's raining today so I guess it will have to wait.

I guess that the "if it's going to get done I gotta do it myself" talking. AH drags his feet on everything!!!
