A bit about me
Hi all. I have enjoyed reading about your experience, strength and hope. It's nice to find a chat room full of familiar stories!
I divorced my A last year after 11 yrs of marriage, and he was my 2nd husband. He was an adult child and never drank, but had all the behaviors etc of a full blown A. I wrestle with being a twice divorced woman, and at times feel like a profound failure. For the most part, I know that it was part of journey and nothing more, and I have learned SO MUCH by walking that path. I have 2 sons,18 and 20, and their dad and I do a wonderful job of co-parenting. I am now dating a childhood sweetheart of mine who has 20 yrs in another program, and its all good. I am active in my local Al Anon group and have a wonderful sponsor. I work my program every day (Some days better than others!) and thank my HP that I found Al Anon when I did - it saved my life!!! My new relationship is opening up a whole new set of feelings and fears, but I hope to be able to chat with all of you as well as my local group and work through my stuff.
