ABF spent weekend drunk...didn't come home Saturday night at all, saw him Sunday morn...then around 6pm for a few mins...then he passed out on top of bed last night...shoes, jacket and all.

He left two hours before normal work time saying he was going to the post office. He did not return. He is still in the same clothes he slept in, no shower, no toothbrush, no shaving since friday. ewwwwwwwwwwwww...

Now, man who invited me to movie calls. Says: Happy Valentine's Day! Life's too short to skip a celebration, how about after work we get together, go to the beach, watch the sunset and then go get coffee or dinner or something?

I hesitated a few seconds...he says: You ever see the movie Auntie Mame?
Sure I say, I love her! He says: so you'll remember her motto: Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death! Live! Live! Live!

I laughed. Guess where I'll be at sunset?

Hope you enjoy the sunset!!! My A half was sober this weekend, first dry weekend in a long time. Today was valentines day, I got card, lovely gift booked meal out etc (yes I am a male). I get home from work at 6-30pm to find her drunk (me to blame!!), no outing tonight, had to bit my tongue or we could have had a shouting match, which in front of the kids is no good.

As I said hope you enjoy the sunset. Dotty

Walkingtheline,
Your post was one of the nicest things I've read in a long time.
As for this guy who wants to watch the sunset with you...
he's a keeper of the highest order.
Thanks for the smile.
