Just checking in...

Hey guys. Just wanted to stop in and say hello. I've been without Internet access for about a week and a half now due to an awe-inspiring "upgrade" my ISP decided to do their system. My sponsor keeps trying to get me to look at the positive side of things though. In this case, not having Internet access at home has kept me focused on reading through the first 164 pages of the BB.

Anyway... I'm doing well. 38 days sober today. The pink cloud is officially over though, as I've had some serious tests over the last couple of weeks. In a way, I feel good about that though because I managed to make it through them without drinking.

Ok, 'nuff rambling for now. God bless to all....

Hey TechGuy,
I am glad to see you are here and doing well! I also want to thank you for your early posts. I am sober one month today and your posts were a great inspiration to me. I feel wonderful and I am so happy.
Thank so very much!

Tech, maybe I'm odd, but I have come to think pink clouds are dangerous, so I don't regret mine being over.

Mine lasted 87 days, and had me feeling so good that on about day 70 I quit the day by day thing and started looking forward to my 90 day chip.

WHAM!!!

The evening of day 87 found me falling down, slobbering drunk.

Pink clouds, for me, make me complacent, and that's dangerous.

Congrats on the clean time, and keep it up, one day at a time.

Hey, TechGuy. I was thinking about you. Thanks for checking in. I am glad you are doing OK. Yup, things can go from the frying pan into the fire when we get sober. But now we have some tools to deal with it when that happens.

Hang in there.

hugs,

phinny
