Has anyone ever tried an all natural anti-depressant

Has anyone ever tried an all natural anti-depressant called "Serenity"? I have been taking it for almost a week and a half and I feel great!! It's all natural - there's no side effects - it's great! I found it on the web - I believe it was from about.com. I ordered it to give it a try and I think it was the best thing I could have done.

I was getting depressed over the weight gain from the Prozac so I wanted to try something other than a SSRI. I've tried just about all of them. I guess I have a very sensitive system because I have bad side effects from all of them. I finally found something that gives me what I need without all the bad stuff with it.

I was just curious if anyone else has ever heard of it and/or has tried it.

Love,
Galnva

Galnva,

Let me know if you like it. I'm going to have to go natural too. The antidepressants intensify my emotions too much. I can't handle it.

I'm am going to try something when this prozac is out of my system.

Hugs,

MG

Galnva does this Serenity have St. Johns Wort in it? That is the only natural antidepressant I have heard of. I was taking it for about 8 months and it did help with the depression. I had to take it 3 times a day for it to be effective. What are the ingrediants?

Hi Rose,

Serenity has a web site it's www.findserenitynow.com
I don't think it has St. john's Wort in it. Check out the web site. I really like it. I have noticed a big difference in me in just the short time I've been taking it.

I can't take any of the SSRI's without major side effects and I can't handle that. I started gaining alot of weight - just something else for me to obsess over. I can't handle being over weight. I start to freak out. So Serenity seems to be the answer for me.

Thanks for that info Gainva,
I went to the doctor today all ready
for any kind of anti-depressant. We
discussed all of them, and gosh, there
are so many side effects. Mainly anxiety
and insomnia, that's the last thing I
need. I took Zoloft for only 3 days
and felt so weird, plus nauseous. So
I decided against them, and would rather
go natural, or get something like Ann,
for anxiety when I feel like I need it.
I went to a nurse practitioner and she
couldn't prescribe me anything for
anxiety-so now I will have to go to
a "real doctor". And now, you have
given me another option-sounds good
to me!

Hey Josie,

Glad I could help!!!!! I think Serenity was the best thing for me!
I feel so great.

You know - I use to buy flowers all of the time before me and my A separated. I haven't bought any the whole time we've been apart until yesterday. I went to the store bought some flowers, pasta (which is one of my favorites), a very good bottle of wine, and some candles. I took my kids to a movie, we came home and we cleaned the house, the car, and fixed dinner.

I put all the flowers in different vases and placed them all around the house, lite a bunch of candles, played some of my favorite CD's, had a few glasses of wine, and had a great dinner with with children. I had such a great time and I really enjoyed myself.

Talking about clarity. I can see things so clearly now. it's amazing to me. For once in my life - I don't need a man to make me feel whole or to make me feel like I'm somebody. And everything is all on my terms. Wow - it feels so wonderful.
I love all of you guys. I wouldn't be where I am today without all of yall's help.

Thank you so much!!
Much love,
Galnva

What a wonderful story...and I am so glad that you are doing nice things for yourself.

I think that when we first remove ourselve from the addict, there is a void...all the time and energy that used to be spent on them, leave us with time and energy on our hands. And using this time and energy for positive things in our lives is so much healthier and definitely more fun.

Enjoy your new freedom from chaos, and have a great day.

Gainva,
I have kept up with you since I first
started coming here. You have come so
far, and I am so happy for you and your
children. Sounds like a wonderful day,
and I'm sure every day now has something
to offer, now that the chaos is out of
your life! You are going through some
really positive changes, and sounds like
it's just getting better and better!

Hugs,
