i'M GOING INTO DETOX
i'M NOTGOING INTO DETOX
I thought about it weighed my options and think it would be better to rely on support from the fellowship here in town and SR. The price for detox was to high and my insurance wouldn't cover it, being I had been in ther once already. Fortunately I have some family and friends that can provide some good support. I think after being beaten up time after time, I am ready. Still yet please remember me in your prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Susan,
I'm so proud of you...you're making a great choice; I know it was a difficult decision to make...you are always in my thoughts and prayers...just remember HOW (Honest, Open-minded and Willing).
Love, hugs, and prayers,
Jen

Susan,
Know That We Love You. This Disease Kicks So Many People And Leaves Them In The Gutter.
I Admire Your Courage. I Didn't Have The Courage To Admit That, I Couldn't Drink At 24.
Open Up With Your Feelings. Let The Hurt Out. We're All Praying 4 U. You Pray To And Believe That God Will Answer Your Prayers
Love
Chris

susan,
I am not sure what you are trying to stop using but whatever the substance, it is going to be hard. If you are able to chat with someone in this forum please do or go to a meeting. I have about 3 weeks under my bracelet and I still think I am not gonna make it somedays. I did not have to go to a DR but I know that if you are honest with them they can help. I will pray for you and you can do it..be strong and be proud to be sober... beezylou

This is a good decision - we will be here for you when you get back. You can do it and you will be surrounded by people in the same boat as you as well as professionals who can help you. Thoughts and prayers with you. Good decision, well done.
Very brave - you will reap the rewards.
Good luck and see you soon,
Much love

Hey Susan,
Whatever you're decision turns out to be, do what you can to get around sober people. I'm working on day 13 today, and it's definitely one day at a time. The biggest help to me is staying in AA meetings as often as I can. Being around people who have shared the same struggles, lived through the same nightmares, and are willing to go out of their way to help you has been incredible. Getting to a meeting is now the highlight of my day. And when I leave a meeting, I feel a hundred times better than when I walked in, and it reinforces my resolve to make it through another day sober.
Keep hanging around here too. Everyone on this site is so incredibly supportive.
