Today I am grateful...
... that my mother responded better than expected to an intervention and is now in detox. I can't stop thinking of her and wish I could be by her side through the next 3-5 days, but I am so very proud of her for admitting her need for and accepting help. One day at a time!

Phew!! I have never been involved in an intervention, however I have read that they can be, shall we say, difficult.

Congratulations--I know it's just the first step but--it's really big. The intervention must have been pretty tough--sounds like you and your Mother are both brave. It's
very hard for the addict to take that step--and I'm sure it's hard for you knowing what she is going through. Give yourself a big hug from us. Keep in touch you will find a lot of caring people here and lots of support. Love and Smiles--Dee
