I let him over sleep!

I have fridays off, and my AH went to the bar last night (As USUAL) so this morning when he didn't stir, I purposly let him sleep till 8am, then woke him up and said, "Hun, are you taking the day off???" He jumped out of bed so fast and groaned all through his shower!!!!! I know it is devious, but I want him to LEARN from his "mistakes"!

I have done the same thing.........good for you

I have decided that it is not my responsibility to wake him up for appointments, or to go to school activities, or anything anymore........

I tell him before the event comes up, I also tell him that he needs to set his alarm, because I am no longer going to be his alarm clock............it is so irritating, taking time out of my hectic schedule to wake him up to hear him cuss and swear and say 10 more minutes...for me to go back up there and hear more cussing........I am busy trying to get me and the kids ready.......I figure one less aggravation for me...........simple set your alarm, you know what time you need to be up.....

At first I had a hard time going to things alone.......It was sad that he was never able to make any of the events..........but now I am thankful...............He would have just bugged me anyway.........

it's not devious - you don't expect him to get YOU up for work do you? then why should he!

good for you!

grrrrr I hated when my wife did that.... BUT it worked so I am grateful

also gives a small pleasure in a world that can be turned upside down.
Have used it with a son who now gets up on his own at 5 AM even if he was out the night before.

Enjoy the day and know It does work. *LOL*

not devious. i probably wouldn't have woken him up at all. this is something he can do himself- get up at a normal time when he has responsibilities. u cannot do it for him. u cannot make him be responsible. You would be doing him a disservice if u had woken him up because then he will never suffer the consequences and will be consistently rescued and never learn.
