Text from rehab

Hi I got a text today from my friend saying he can’t talk but he loves me and don’t give up. Can you text in rehab? Hope he didn’t leave

Hi Kim. I don't know anyone who has been to rehab but from what I have read here at SR, generally, there is no outside communication for around a week. That could certainly differ on the rehab, of course.

I'm sure others will be along to share their experience. How long has your friend been there?

He should have probably been told before he entered that his phone would be taken away, if that's the case.

I saw a few replies to your post in the recovery forum, they mentioned sneaking a text out or having access to their phone, so no way really to tell.
