Today is my Birthday... need hugs.
Today is my Birthday... need hugs. Losing my fiancee 3 months ago still stings like a son-of-a-gun. I am feeling good about my recovery from codependency, but I feel loss so badly that my head is spinning. Especially today!

I'm losing my wife so I understand about that "sting". Some days it's not so bad, some days it's a killer. We're all here for ya, just let it out and you'll feel better.

Thank you to all for the hugs. I took my daughters out to dinner today, that was nice.
I am still in the initial stages of getting over the loss the relationship with my ex-fiancee. It is killing me. But I guess I feel a bit better knowing that everyone goes through this, not just codepentents like me. Also, it is hard to accept this fact, but I am starting to accept the beautiful gift of realizing that I am an ACA. I did not understand that until I went into therapy after messing up the relationship. Had I not gone in with an open and broken heart, I would never have fiqured out why I could not be truly happy.
So I guess this day is bitter-sweet. I lost the love of my life because of this sickness, but now at least I know that there is hope for recovery. And I believe in my heart that God has a plan for me...

Happy Birthday fellow Sagittarian! Mine is tomorrow-Dec 7th - a day that will live in infamy!!! Yes, Pearl Harbor Day! I was born with a bang and lived most of my life that way. But now I am clean and sober and that is a great way to celebrate. Happy Birthday IAMENOUGH!!! My prayers go to all on this site. Hope next year is even better than this year!
