Almost Three Years Sober
My last drink was November 3rd, 2017. I am now approaching THREE YEARS peeps.
Was it easy? No, not at first!
Was it hard? Yes, but everything in life is hard.
Best advise: dear friend of mine told me it would take "a while" to actually feel better. He meant this both mentally and physically. I think each took their own course and their own time. Mentally, it was beyond stressful. Plus, I have a nasty case of PTSD and anxiety from being trapped in a house fire. So I dealt with all that crap too. Physically, my body had to heal itself from ten years of constant alcohol consumption. I am STILL HEALING.. But, I can honestly tell you that I feel amazing these days.
Just know, you CAN DO IT! But, I have to be very blunt and honest here.... ONLY YOU CAN MAKE THE DECISION TO QUIT...........IF you are doing it for any other reason, you are on your path to relapse or failure on the journey. You have to do it for YOU and ONLY YOU! In the end, doing it for yourself will make all of the other stuff fall into place.
My hugs and well wishes go out to each and every one of you. If you truly want it --- it WILL happen for you too.

Thank you so much for sharing. I am approx 90 days sober and physically still feel like hell. I like receiving these shots of hope now and gain. Best wishes to you and yours for continued sobriety.
