Finally back on the wagon. Made it to day 8
Finally back on the wagon. Made it to day 8
What a nightmare. After being sober for quite a long time, I slipped up early this year. Didn't take long to land right back where I left off. Drinking over a liter of vodka per day was pretty easy since I was working from home due to Covid. Not to mention the convenience of InstaCart.
I spare the details, but I tapered safely and I'm back on track with diet, exercise, mindfulness, gratitude, and support. I can't describe how awesome it feels to be able to go to sleep (instead of passing out) and wake up feeling great.

So glad you are back Rem . . . . ugh . . . . I stopped drinking a bit over two years ago and every now and then I realize how easy it would be to go back. Not fun.
I'm hoping you are putting day 8 in the bag and headed for day 9 . . . . this is not an easy time for anyone.
Let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the reminder that drinking isn't all awesomesauce and rainbows.
Insidious isn't it? Alcohol/addiction will jump us at our lowest times and relentlessly try to kill us.
Glad you made it back, I feel like I used up my Last Chance.
