Great to meet you Pistis. I was nervous at first too - but I soon became very comfortable. Everyone was friendly & reassuring.
3 mos. & 2 days of sobriety is wonderful. I began to feel a lot better after the 3 month mark. I found that posting here to talk things over (like your craving) really calmed me down. It's comforting to know we're never alone.

Welcome to SR Pistis and congratulations on 3 months+ of sobriety. Cravings can come from nowhere, they don't always start off small and build up. It helps to have support and reading and posting at SR does help.
Hi & welcome! Cravings can come out of the blue but as long as you don’t act on them they don’t last very long. Stick around and post and or read around the forum for support. Glad you found SR .
Hi and welcome
Like Gyps said cravings can occur from time to time, especially in the first few months - thoughts are thoughts (even the crazy ones) but its our response to those thoughts that really counts.
You did well to seek us out - I found support really helped me - so its great to have you join us

Welcome Pistis! We all struggle here. When aI start lose my mind, people here will provide support and tell me to just go to sleep or watch a movie.
That advice is just great because I put on a movie and fall asleep half way through. You can post here anytime because this forum is International around the world!

Welcome Pistis. That dirty little alcoholic voice in our nag-headed heads. Just ignore the little bugger. I'm nearly a year sober and survived a nasty case of COVID recently. My AV is ever-present in my head to celebrate this Thanksgiving. Let's get hammered!!! Just one day!!! The part it doesn't tell me is that it wants to watch me die a painful, low death. Hang in there and remember they are only thoughts. Thoughts to be ignored.
Congrats on three months and three days.
No need to be nervous here!
I first found SR in the middle of a sleepless night on day five and would describe my state at that time to be one of complete desperation. Since then, the wonderful people here have been a saving grace.
