Looking for a network
Hey everyone,
I am new here but I have been registered for a while. I am looking for friends or a support network to join on Facebook or some way to instant message people or even talk on the phone. I always forget about this place and I have gone to AA near local places, but I feel best on a website or over the phone. I need an accountability partner. If anyone is interested just let me know.
Thanks,
James

There are groups on FB for sure
The AV is always looking for ways to get us to drink again.
Recently my wife pushed the shot glass right under my nose. It was filled with some nasty sugary soju mix.
I said no no no I don't drink it no more.
My wife and her friend polished off the bottle. So she got drunk as heck, stupid happy/euphoric, then she got super tired. She spent the rest of the night on the couch , then woke with a headache that wouldn't go away.
I got to wash the dishes.
What a deal.
Booze is poison. I don't believe the hype.
Thanks.

The way you "feel comfortable" is usually not the best way to get sober. If you try to quit alcohol on your own terms, you're in for a bumpy ride. You will have to take contrary action to the action you've taken before. Zoom into an AA meeting if you're serious about sobriety.
