New beginnings
Hello friends. I’ve changed my username. It used to be clarkkent11. I just felt I wanted a fresh start.
I was pretty hard on myself yesterday. But I need to remind myself that I’m all of 2020, I’ve only drank on 2 occasions. That’s a pretty big achievement for me.
I really had a hard look at why I messed up. I can’t allow myself to get so run down from work deadlines and stress anymore. I need to modify my plans.
I am always so grateful for the support here.
Have a great Monday! 😊

Hi Silver11,
We have your back. It took me a few tries to get sobriety to stick, but I am so glad that it finally did. Please take care of yourself so that you can be at your best for work and for others in your life.

Yes, I noticed the new name 🙂
We’re all hard on ourselves at times, and you certainly were on this occasion. And you’re spot on, those who do quit for good have done so by changing other things too. Stopping drinking without changing anything else is nigh on impossible. Work or other stresses might come back, but by then you’ll hopefully have a good few months or years sober time and won’t have any real urge to drink.
