Cunning, Baffling and "KIND"?

what is the 'kind" thing about? Anyone know?
I was in AA for over 6 years and never asked this question..
Wanting to be educated on .... what is KINDabout this problem, affliction or chaos?

I get the "cunning".part...as it sneaks up on me....lies...etc.
baffiling...yup..get it. Cause I always want to KNOW how do I end up here when I wanted anything BUT to end up here?

Is the kind? because it makes me feel good for an hour? WTF is the KIND part?

"Cunning, baffling, POWERFUL" is the quote from the Big Book. Nobody here says alcohol is "kind."

I would add insidious to the big 3 from the big book plus at least several expletives . Never heard of it being kind though. But have heard many old timers say they are grateful for it as recovery has given them a life they never dreamed of.

The word I always add is "ubiquitous." Even I have some alcohol in my home--vanilla extract, which I have used to get drunk (it's a big bottle from Costco). And it's never hard to find, even if I don't have any in my home.

I've never heard that as "cunning baffling and kind". Always heard it as "cunning baffling and powerful". I don't know where you're getting the 'kind'??

KIND might be a local acronym that the group(s) came up with.
If you ever decode it Misssy, let us know.

cheers.
