Luck!
Hi, I was last here 6 years ago, didn't attempt sobriety then!
My drinking has slowly increased, surprise, surprise!!
Life enjoyment decreased.
Seems the only thing I "SEEM" to enjoy is alcohol.
Parts of my life and health are suffering.
Feeling ashamed.
It's time.
Wish me luck....day 1

I hope this time you'll fully utilize the resources and support found here to help you get sober for good. I got, and have stayed, sober using SR as part of my recovery plan. I hope you'll do the same.

Was a pretty rough day yesterday, elevated anxiety.
Equally tough night, sweats and insomnia.
Was going to take the day off work today, but felt half reasonable so decided to go, glad I did.
Day 2

JCat - So good to see you. You sound ready to do this. I had many false starts, but in the end I was disgusted & exhausted from the drinking life I tried to maintain.
As you said, 'It's time'. There's no doubt you can do this. Congratulations on your Day 2. Things are about to get so much better.

I don't like seeing that people are going through the same thing as me, as no one needs to feel this way. At the same time it helps to see a lot of us feel and go through it so we aren't alone. I too was relying on alcohol to make things enjoyable. I'm only 2 days in, and trying to develop healthier habits.
