Arrrr!! Just getting happy and straight again and someone from my past contacts me from a new number ..despite last 7 months I have blocked contact on messenger and her number ..and ignored e mails !! 😡😡

everything bad associated with my life and drinking surrounded this person ..lot my fault but never the less it’s made me feel very anxious now and feel like downing a shot of JD to take the edge away

Don’t reply and block them. As long as you don’t drink you haven’t gone backwards. The trick is to feel uncomfortable emotions and learn to accept and sit with them without trying to block them out. They will pass naturally and you’ll gain strength from it in my experience.

Treat her like a rattlesnake and stay away. I’ve been there dozens of times. And it always ends bad. I’m not saying she is bad, just that she sounds bad for you.

And move on....if you haven't drank over it than your all good and nothing is lost..don't give this person any power to live rent free in your head. See what you can do to shake this off and get your mind off of it

You’ll be a far better person soon with your new sober life. You are already. Don’t cut off real friends, but think of yourself as too good now for some of the lesser friends from your drinking past. I’m a humble bloke, but I’ve become a tiny bit arrogant with my new sober ways. I don’t think that’s such a bad thing.

As for that shot of JD, if you have a bottle close to hand at home, get rid.
