I'm Alive
I haven't been around here in a while. Had some off and on relapses.
I go to my meeting every day and am trying to work the 12 steps of AA to the best of my ability now.
My sobriety date is 7/8/2020.
I hope everyone is well.

Oh you guys. People in recovery are always so kind. It's lovely to be back
Dee, it's very genuine of you to remember my name. I think I only used it once a long time ago. It's obvious that you really care about people on here. That's admirable.

Well I don't remember much from July 4 through July 7. It was a four day bender.
Though I have plenty of reminders in the form of social media posts / messages and on my phone. And I definitely remember the withdrawals and self-hatred. I wanted to kill myself.
So that's what relapse brings for me. It's not fun. I have an abusive relationship with alcohol that I'm happy to say ended on July 8th of this year.
