A post about not needing to post!?!?
Hello Everyone,
I hope all is well. All week I was so excited and wanting today to arrive. I've been waiting until today to post, not to jinx anything and make sure I made it to today, before I posted. Now I'm here, I made it, and funny enough I didn't feel the need to post anymore. I just feel content I guess and that's all the acknowledgement I'm needing in this moment. So instead of writing about my accomplishing my first full week sober, I'm writing to say that I'm contently here, feeling good, really appreciating sobriety, and wishing everyone an awesome Saturday afternoon.

Well done on one week copperfield It's a great milestone, a great start and one which is worth posting about. Keep posting here and keep building up that sober time. And have a great Saturday afternoon too
Remember not to get too complacent in your recovery.
There will be many times when we feel secured in our
recovery life and forget what is top priority. If I dont stay
connected to my recovery lifelines and continue to use
my recovery program as a guideline in all areas of my
life then I slowly begin to slip back into old behaviors.
Stay strong and continue listening, learning, absorbing
and applying new helpful tools in building a strong solid
foundation to live your life upon for yrs to come.

Keep on posting. Doesn't matter so much what it's about, but continuing to keep your brain engaged in this sobriety thing is important. I'd personally be very leery of that feeling of not needing to post only one week in. For me,that would be a clear sign of the beast on the prowl. But that might just be me.
If you're doing this thing "right," you'll stub your sober toe sooner or later. It's good to be in the habit of observing your feelings and thoughts in order to keep the notion of drinking at least two steps away from wherever you are at this moment.
Just my thoughts for what they're worth.
Fantastic going on a full week! It's a great feeling, isn't it?
