day 8

Hi SR family. Well as the title says i'm on day 8. I was in the pits of despair and darkness this time last week and I reached out and asked for help. I had a 17 day binge and simply couldn't stop. I finally surrendered. 2 days of tapering under supervision from a family member then I went for it. I'm now so committed to recovery it's my everything. I got a sponsor. Am online in meetings and make a share everyday. I also did the training yesterday so I will be volunteering to chair and host on the online meetings. Doing an inner engineering course which is helping immensely. My diet is healthy and balanced,i'm meditating twice daily. I'm journaling daily, my gratitude list went from around 2-3 things per day to about 10. Exercising daily. I've done more in the last week than in my entire life lol. Have to say though I feel amazing and i've really earned it. I admitted complete powerlessness over addiction and not just in words from the inside which is where the action comes from. Hope this helps anyone struggling to stop it is possible to start feeling great with enough effort even after a short time.

8 days - something to so proud of, someday! There's no doubt you never have to return to the misery.
