Using MAT to Stop Drinking

Good morning, I hope you're all well.
I have recently decided to contact a clinic here in town. I have an RN appointment this morning, and a doctor's/providers appointment tomorrow.
I'm curious if any of you have used medical help to quit drinking?
I've read about antibuse, camperal, and vivitrol. Wondering if anyone here is familiar with using any which one.

Thanks!

Hey Wind,

I took naltraxone which is the same as vivitrol, but vivitrol is the injectable, extended release form. Two treatment centers I went to really pushed the vivitrol shot, but it's expensive without good insurance.

Still got drunk. Had no effect on me whatsoever

I’ve tried acamprosate but it didn’t work for me. On Naltrexone and gabapentin now and the combination has really helped quell anxiety and cravings. I take the daily naltrexone pill. All m medications are monitored monthly by a psychiatrist.
